What Is NUCCA?

Members of the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association (NUCCA) specialize in an adjustment of the atlas vertebra, using the NUCCA procedure as a primary treatment for a great variety of ailments. The focus of the NUCCA work is the relationship between the upper cervical spine (neck) and its influence on the central nervous system and brain stem function. It is this relationship that affects every aspect of human function from the feeling sensations in your fingers to regulating hormones, controlling movement, and providing the ability to hear, see, think, and breathe. The mission of NUCCA is defined as “Maximizing the human health potential as associated with the reduction of the Atlas Subluxation Complex (ASC)”.

The NUCCA process has been developed over 5 decades of clinical observations and research. The focus of NUCCA is on the biomechanics of the upper cervical spine (neck) and its influence on the central nervous system and brain stem function. Appropriate management of this relationship can help restore body balance supporting optimal spinal health.

The NUCCA Procedure

A gentle path to healing

The NUCCA procedure provides a gentle, measurable and sustainable solution to correct underlying body imbalances that may be getting in your way. Following procedures set forth by the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association (NUCCA), we use a specific image guided assessment to evaluate and correct imbalances in the upper neck, allowing the head and neck to return to a more neutral position. This in turn, restores balance to the body, relieving stress and strain in other areas. A body in balance can move better, think better, and ultimately feel better!
